Just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, Saint Paul police responded to a report of gunshots at an apartment on Case Avenue, where they found three people injured.
Sadeya was shot by a bullet that went through the basement window of the apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics transported a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man to Regions Hospital and thankfully both survived their injuries.
The case does not appear to be random and it’s possible Sadeya was not the intended target of the shooting. Investigators interviewed witnesses and neighbors, but have not arrested anyone in the homicide.
